Mumbai, 19th March, 2026: – Schneider Electric, the global leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, has announced the elevation of Sumati Sahgal as Vice President – Secure Power & Data Centres, Greater India Zone. In this role, she will lead Schneider Electric’s Secure Power and Data Centre business across the region, with end-to-end accountability for business performance, strategic execution, and customer experience.
This leadership elevation showcases Schneider Electric’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership bench and empowering experienced leaders to take on expanded mandates across strategic growth businesses. The appointment reflects the company’s commitment to nurturing internal talent and reinforcing India’s role as a key hub for digital infrastructure, innovation, and sustainable energy transformation.

In her new role, Ms. Sahgal will focus on driving profitable growth across Schneider Electric’s Secure Power and Data Centre portfolio, including data centres and other critical infrastructure. She will also work towards accelerating growth in the cloud and service provider segment and positioning Schneider Electric as a leader in AI-ready infrastructure. Her mandate will include deploying Schneider Electric’s end-to-end specialist model—from sales to delivery and services—while strengthening go-to-market strategies, strategic customer engagement, and collaboration across partner ecosystems.
Prior to this elevation, Ms. Sahgal served as Vice President – Home Solutions, Schneider Electric India, where she led the Homes & Distribution division for the Greater India Zone where she has led portfolio innovation, go-to-market transformation and built a strong brand foundation in the consumer mind in the fast-evolving Indian market.
Ms. Sahgal brings over 20 years of leadership experience across the technology and telecommunications sectors, with a strong track record in P&L ownership, business transformation, and customer-centric growth. She holds an MBA in Marketing from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Delhi.
