Whereas, JSW Steel reported a 37% increase in safety compliance among new employees after rolling out VR training modules for high-risk operations. One key application focuses on the lancing operation, a process critical to blast furnace maintenance. Previously, training relied on shadowing experienced workers, which posed significant safety risks. Now, VR technology allows new hires to master safety protocols in a virtual environment before performing the task in real-life furnace conditions.
These success stories highlight how VR-based safety training is revolutionizing workforce preparedness, allowing employees to experience and respond to hazardous situations in a controlled, risk-free setting.
